want to know about the product or fibre used to make a good quality blanket
@jbroad141,
Wouldn't "fleece" imply wool? People fleece sheep, I don't think farmers fleece cotton plants.
@jbroad141,
In general these days fleece blankets and fleece jackets are made of polyester. Polyester is not much for disintegration and little gifts come off both from regular use and in the laundry, sending bits into the water system and subsequently killing water living creatures.
They are made from naugahyde--literally millions of naugas are slaughtered to produce such fabrics. I hope you're happy now.
@Setanta,
My uncle had an easy chair made from genuine naugahyde. I used to sit in it and imagine how it would be to ride the beast when it was alive.
@Blickers,

Is that how it's spelled? I thought it was F L E A S. A fleas blanket would be woven of the rare but high quality fur of the arctic flea.
Long fiber wool is used in loudspeaker enclosures to dampen down the sound of deep bass reverberations. Pricey, but in addition to making a very warm blanket, it can help with a loud snoring problem.
@Blickers,
As can an ordinary pillow when pressed firmly over the face of the one that snores.
