(I'm saying this because there's a guy I like - thread relating to this further down the page - and people have been telling me to tell him, and others have been saying don't bother because you don't know him - I'm confused!).

Yes, absinthe, just go up and talk to him. Like Misti says, direct a question to him, respond to him, and keep paying attention, so he knows your interest is in him, not the conversation.

Or be fun. Like, go up and hold his hands, while he's talking to some guys, and say "Are you going to introduce me to your friends, honey?"

That's the sort of thing I used to do, and it works really well. Think about it, it's not like he'd get offended.

as a pretty shy guy, and as someone who isnt really agressive and waited for the girl to come to him, im telling you he will not think its weird if you go up to him and just talk. Guys love it when they get the attention of girls...just dont come on too strong or ask him alot of questions just kinda have chit chat, nothing too personal but stuff like "what teachers do you have", make fun of other teachers stuff like that

Hello. i am a guy from toronto. and i am currently 16. and i would like to say not to pretend you arent interested in em. i ususally give up on those type of girls becasue i invision them as being snotty or spoiled. we do not wnat to decide what to talk about all the time. girls gotta talk more make us feel confident. girls dont act like pleading to be with him head of heels. you gotta let em knwo you want em but not too much. but if not enoug they wont even try to bother. dances or thigns like that. take them. no matter if ur ugly or not guys wont say no. especially if you know you look good. dont ask them. jsut grab there hand and pull em out on the dance floor. that is what makes us happy. well good luck girls!
