How can I get him to like me?

Hello everyone! I would reeealllyy appreciate some advice on my problem!

I really would like to date a decent guy this year and I know just the one for me!
There is only one problem...I am so shy!! He is a year older than me but we are currently involved in a play together He has the same interests and is so sweet.
But, whenever he approaches me and tries to start up a conversation, I get so nervous!! Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get over my fear of talking to him?

I really want to be with him and he seems to be interested in me, but how can I get his attention/ him to like me?
