Edit [Moderator]: Moved from General to North America.
We are having a butterball of course with gravy, mashed potatoes, beans from my garden, peas from my garden, stuffing from my garden (only kidding,LOL), carrots from my garden, turnip from my garden, cranburry sauce and strawberry shortcake for desert. I also made some homemade salsa yesterday, so we'll have some of that with some nacho chips.
You guys are welcome to join us, so pull up a chair. Who wants white meat? I have dibs on one of the drumsticks.
I am drooling and it's 2:14am Montana, and damn girl you just added another 5# to me...oh well, eat well live well...and you know how I feel about tomatoes! ....you can keep the drumstix i like white meat and the skin ....I think i will just live with you for the rest of my life...i'll even sleep on the couch!
Enjoy your thanksgiving sweetie! :-)
Could I ask what you're giving thanks for this time, Montana?

(The idea really appeals to me.)
Sorry Willow. I didn't mean to get you all drooling and stuff at this early hour, but I'll make it up to you and give you my share of skin. It just so happens that the couch is free and we have some extra blankets.
I will do my best to enjoy the day. Thanks girlfriend :-D

Well, I'm giving thanks that my family is healthy, we have a nice home, heat in the winter, air conditioning in the summer, plenty of food, the fact that mom and I had the courage to quit smoking, and that I'll finally be able to go to work in May so I won't have to worry about money anymore :-D
Life is on the up, Montana!
Lots to be thankful for.
Happy thanksgiving gorgeous !!!
Now where is that fiery salsa ?? Oh you meant the eating variety ??
Olga
There sure is. Sometimes I bitch and moan, but in the end I always do appreciate what I have ;-)
Gautam
Thank ye there sweetheart :-D Yeah, it's the eating kind if you want some ;-)
I'm getting an early start today. I just got finished peeling the potatoes and I'll be peeling the carrots next. I only got a few hours sleep last night, so I'll probably catch a nap while everything is cooking today. I'm getting everything ready to go, so all mom will have to do is keep an eye on stuff while it's cooking.
Thanksgiving there, Columbus Day here in the US.
Have a wonderful day.
Joe
That's true Joe. I assume most of you have a long weekend there as well, so what are your plans for the day.
Thanks, and you have a wonderful day yourself :-D
Happy dead turkey day, Montana

It would be nice to put my feet under someone else's table for a chance, and yours would be great.
Hey, Joe. I thought Columbus Day was tomorrow!
Thanks Letty and your feet are welcome under my table anytime sweetie :-D
You're most welcome Montana!
Do you guys watch parades and football all day like we do here in the states?

Columbus Day is tomorrow, but it is celebrated today.

Nope, well, not in my house anyway. Thanksgiving isn't as big a deal here as it is in your neck of the woods. When we moved up here, it took me the longest time to get use to Thanksgiving being in October. We usually stuff our faces and then take a nap, lol.

Turkey, stuffing, gravy, veggies...Yummy!
Mistress Skippy and I will be right there. Hold some turkey for us!
