I haven't seen anything from Cicerone Imposter in forever. I do know he is a lot older than me - but, has anyone heard from him!

Yep. CI posted there yesterday. I think he's 85.

That is about the age I figured. He said his family was put in a internment camp in WWII and he remembers it. So that number would compute.

I am real life friends with Rockhead. He was a friend of mine, going back to my childhood. He was a good friend of my older brother. It was my participation here that caused him to join A2K. Sadly, shortly after I moved from KS to AZ in 2007, Rockhead became upset with me for some stupid bullshit disagreement, and what it entailed doesn't really matter. Suffice it to say that RH stopped talking to me, and I haven't heard from him, directly or indirectly, since 2007. He was friends with Letty. He did have some health problems back then (Crohn's disease, as I recall), so it's possible it worsened. I just don't know, and don't know anyone back home who seems to know.

Have you tried to find him on FB? We don't know his real name so we're kind of stuck.

Turns out what he thought was Crohn's was a gluten allergy. He was getting better. Taking a new job and that's when he stopped posting.

Rockhead was fond of JPB. Somebody might ask her.

I was finishing up after the concert the other night, looking out over the rustic old relic of a theater that I now call home.

and remembering my first visit back to there, about 5 years ago. before I was stagehanding again.

I remember him telling me about his Crohn's disease, he and I used to message each other once in a while. I always liked him, he was funny, great sense of humor. I just hope he's busy working and all is okay.

The last I knew is that he was doing well in his job at a local theater. It wasn't Chron's, but a bonafide celiac disease due to wheat intolerance. We spoke often back in those days. He'd be in bad shape and unable to eat. He'd get better and make himself some chicken noodle soup or a big pot of pasta something. One day I said, "What is it with you and pasta?" and it all just clicked. After he gave up wheat he started regaining his health. He got the job with the theater and life was looking up. We lost touch over the course of time. I'll try to reach out and see if he still has his old phone number.

I haven't spoken to him in ages. I tried to call him a number of years ago to check in and got his voicemail. I left a message, but I never heard back.

Oh, wow! This brings back some memories. Rockhead introduced me to a lot of music I wasn't familiar with at the time. Joe Satriani, Joe Bonamasa, many more. Joe B was touring that year and had a gig at his local theater. I bought him front row tickets to that concert for his birthday. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Roberta was always very kind on here! I loved her animal thread.

On a side note, sozobe hasn't posted in close to five years now.

At last count Roberta was still there but seemed to me no longer inclined to be active here.

I don't know what you all know or don't know. Here's the scoop.

I fell on my way to the bathroom. I could not move. I spent some time on the floor screaming for help. My downstairs neighbor finally obliged. I was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Broken hip. An old person's break. I had surgery to repair the hip and spent some recovery time in the hospital. Then I spent three weeks in rehab.

I can't tell you how happy I am to be home. A nurse visited me yesterday. Today a physical therapist. Tomorrow a home aide. I may never sleep late again. But I'm doing better than expected according to the orthopedist.

I'm having a helluva time accessing my email, but mostly I'm doing ok.

Shite Boida! Glad you're better and home. Damn! Welcome back!
