Several members have disappeared, I suspect it's the toxicity..........its very ugly on some of the threads.

In the far past it been far far worst then it is now.

That was a small part of it. We used to have meets all over the place including San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, NYC, and even abroad. I've been to several including London, Lippstadt, and Mexico City. I know they've had some in Boston.

I would bet it has deteriorated since Obama was elected. If that is the case, and it is, since the Left controls the internet this is exactly what you wanted. I see the intolerance and the frustration it brings.

Buzz-kill 1 reporting for duty. My guess is that this place has become so boring that people leave it unintentionally, without even noticing. "Oh shoot, i forgot to post on a2k this week, and last week too."

It's not the toxicity, I think. More the "same old same old".

True, and my impression, from some communications we've had, is that this is a factor in the expressed loss of interest that hightor noted above.

He and I have been arguing on this site for more than a decade. We rarely agree, but I find him to be an intelligent and very personable guy (also infuriatingly persistent.)

I hope he changers his mind and comes back. Either way I wish him well.
