Sublime posted a few things today in the connect the picture game and some music threads.

After kicking my computer for several months it finally decided to fix itself.

Since you missed the entire NFL season, I will give you a quick recap of the NFL picks thread: I ended up being this year's winner after tough competition from Ragman and Cowdoc!

Thanks Osso, that was just what I needed. I still love that dessert.

I wasn't being honest. I came in eighth place (out of 20). I thought for sure Osso was going to call my bluff and tell you I was lying. Cowdoc was this year's winner on the NFL thread.

And I maintained that Gus should have been allowed to participate. Realjohnboy made strict rules for the thread this year. (Gus was eliminated after the mandatory swimsuit competition.)

What about Lord Ellpus? Did that dude ever make a return or did he fade into a sea of electrons?

Everything is all right here, Region. Still have a tornado watch until around 11:00 PM, however.

It is, indeed, remarkable that we miss and worry about those who suddenly disappear from cyber land who we would not know if we passed them on the street..... but we do.

That may or may not be true, Intrepid .... who knows?

But in the case of Sturgis ... well, he was fighting a very serious (life threatening) condition, the last time we heard from him. So it's not surprising that some of us are becoming alarmed by his extended absence.

I really miss him & worry if he's OK. Sad

I did!
I did!

On the trip before last to New York. I ran into Lola in the Filene's at Union Square. Almost literally - we were about 3 feet away from each other when we recognized each other.

I was in New York for a get-together with people from another forum Embarrassed I knew about 4 people who lived in New York - what were the odds? I wasn't in Lola's neighbourhood ... still ... busted!

~~~
msOlga, I'm still looking for Sturgis' phone number. I can't believe that I was organized enough to throw away the little book with the New York #'s.
I saw BBB at Albertson's as I was making a dash for the bathroom. Said hello for about four seconds. When I got to the b.rm the lights were out, and, er, I'm nightblind, couldn't see the toilet (woman crashes in grocery store bathroom, headlines at eleven.) Told the produce guy, who said they'd been working on it all morning. Went home quickly. BBB probably thinks I weirder than I am.
