The last A2k entry for bandylu2 was in 2003. I think she had moved to a diff location. looking it up...
Ragman, remember Stoat? I know that I spotted him online, but he vanished again.
Thanks for the link, Francis.
Thanks, Francis. He just made an appearance on the radio thread and loves Italian songs. I did Volare in English and Italian, but wanted to do this one.
ANDREA BOCELLI
Quando sono solo sogno all'orizzonte
e mancan le parole
si lo so che non c'è luce
in una stanza quando manca il sole
se non ci sei tu con me
u le finestre
mostra a tutti il mio cuore
che hai acceso chiudi, dentro me
la luce che hai incontrato per strada
Con te partirò paesi che non ho mai
veduto e vissuto con te
adesso sì li vivrò
Con te partirò su navi per mari
che io lo so no, no, non esistono più
con te io li vivrò
Quando sei lontana sogno all'orizzonte
e mancan le parole
e io sì lo so che sei con me
tu mia luna tu sei qui con me
mio sole tu sei qui con me con me con me con me... con me con me
Con te partirò
Paesi che non ho mai veduto e vissuto con te
adesso sì li vivrò
Con te partirò
su navi per mari che, io lo so
no, no, non esistono più
con te io li rivivrò
Con te partirò
su navi per mari che, io lo so
no, no, non esistono più
con te io li rivivrò
Con te partirò...
Io con te!
Unfortunately, I couldn't get a decent translation
Ok, Miss Letty, here it is:
Con te partirò - Time to say goodbye.
When Im alone
I dream on the horizon
And words fail;
Yes, I know there is no light
In a room
Where the sun is not there
If you are not with me.
At the windows
Show everyone my heart
Which you set alight;
Enclose within me
The light you
Encountered on the street.
Time to say goodbye,
To countries I never
Saw and shared with you,
Now, yes, I shall experience them,
Ill go with you
On ships across seas
Which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
With you I shall experience them.
When you are far away
I dream on the horizon
And words fail,
And yes, I know
That you are with me;
You, my moon, are here with me,
My sun, you are here with me.
With me, with me, with me,
Time to say goodbye,
To countries I never
Saw and shared with you,
Now, yes, I shall experience them,
Ill go with you
On ships across seas
Which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
With you I shall re-experience them.
Ill go with you
On ships across seas
Which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
With you I shall re-experience them.
Ill go with you,
I with you.

I am embarking on a western road trip on Wednesday, right after Labor day. I have no idea how far we will get, or how long we will be, although in a best case scenario, we will be gone until early October.

That's quite some road trip, Phoenix! Till early October!
Enjoy, enjoy!

Have a good time Phoenix32890
Phoenix, if at all possible, let us hear from you along the way, ok?
Still no Cyracuz, and Victor Murphy is gone again.
Have fun, Phoe, and if you get a chance, post some pics. If not during, then after. I'd love to hear about your trip.

Letty, he must still be having computer problems.

Phoenix, have a wonderful trip.
When I did my drive through California and Arizona to New Mexico back at the end of 2005, I chose motels that were listed as taking dogs. It turned out, as a treat for me, that about 2/3 of them had computer rooms or just a computer in the lobby - hope that is still true.
Well, I am all packed, everything is in the car, and I could have left an hour ago. Mr. P is still yawning, and has not eaten his breakfast yet. I think that there is a general disconnect between owls and larks, but I don't think that there is much that I can do about it at this point in time.
Why is it as people get older, owls get owlier (sic), and larks become larkier?

I wish you a safe and enjoyable trip, take care.
