Hi all!
I keep meaning to visit A2K to see what is happening - but I get so tired. I am on a 2-minutes-work-15-minutes-rest regime, so by the time I switch the phone over to the computer, go on line, get on to A2K, read a few threads, I am exhausted!
Also I have had to have traffic lights installed (

that's a joke) as some days I have five different nurses coming to visit me.
There are the general nurses who came daily for the first week, every second day for the second week and every third day for the third week - taking the usual "OBS" as in temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and blood saturation levels (how much oxygen and carbon di-oxide), and listening to the lungs at work.
Then there are the physiotherapists, teaching me to breathe more efficiently, and exercises to strengthen arms, legs, chest, etc. Then there is the Occupational Therapist, teaching me the best way to function in the house.
There is another OT that comes to help me with my shower, and finally there is a lady that comes to do my shopping and some cleaning.
I have been thoroughly spoilt since I have been home but that is all winding down now and I think it will be very quiet very soon.
The Physio has been in touch with the Lung Specialist and I had a call from his Registrar a couple of days ago to say I could cut down the oxygen from 24 to 16 hours a day. That was such wonderful news!
Thanks for caring - will pop in and out, checking things out, so behave yourselves!
