Didn't Phoenix report that she and her husband are taking a trip out west?

Hail to the good people of A2k and thank you for your noticing I wasn't there! I had a modem die, and then a postal strike prevented the driver cd from getting to me - and since then I have indeed been travelling. In about 5 days I'll be home and gaming again. Only within England this time - Brighton was a great treat, much nicer than I'd remembered but then, it is about 40 years since I'd been there. It feels like a Continental city, cafe culture all over it, and such wonderful buildings.

Bi-PolarBear is making dreadful pirate jokes on the 'Talk Like a Pirate' Thread. Haven't spotted him for a long while....

It's a modem burnout.

I'm sure McTag didn't recognize the phrase because of context or simply a temporary brain freeze, such as the time my brother challenged the word "doing" in a game of Scrabble.

I looked at him in puzzlement and asked why he would challenge the word.

He said, "What the hell is a doing? (rhyming it with "Boing!", the cartoonish noise you sometimes hear.)

He was a bit embarrassed when he realized his error.
