Okay, I am back! You can all stop worrying about me now.

Oh.

I just read through the last ten pages. Apparently none of you were worrying at all. Well, hmph.

WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!?!

<I thought the reason you told us you were leaving again was so that we wouldn't worry  >

Welcome back, dahling, of course we missed you.

I think I've only spent about a week at home since the first of July. Just popped in long enough to do laundry, pay some bills and leave again. But I'm here to stay for a good while now.

It was all good. Serious travel was long overdue. I have now officially conquered my fear of negotiating strange places with my hearing loss. It had affected my self-confidence far more than I let anyone know. The day last week when my husband had to apologize (God, how he hates that!) THREE TIMES for trying to get me to go the wrong direction...that's when I knew absolutely that I can manage just fine.

(The candles were a nice touch, Walter!)

I wasn't at all worried, Eva, coz you had told us about your plans in advance ... Otherwise you absence would have caused great worry & consternation! Very Happy

I know .... Eva could've stopped by and picked me up on her way.

Actually, no ... I was unable to get away that week. But I was there in spirit, and following the play by play.

.... I know I missed out on c.i. special cigars -- assuming he brought them as promised.
