My gosh....has it really been since February that I was here last? Crying or Very sad

I must be working really hard at hardly working! Smile

Life is such an amazing passage of time and event, circumstance and happenstance, not without its share of joys and sorrows. It's like the teeter-totter or see-saw that as children where we tried hard to achieve that perfect balance where we all could just float with our feet not touching the ground......the load never too heavy, never too light. Just a perfect.....act....of.....balance. I can float now, if that makes any sense. Smile

It's good to see you all here. During my hiatus, there truly was not a day that I did not think of you all and A2K. Newlywedness is now going on 7 months and is as joyous as day one, if not more so. I have been busy decorating our new home. I never imagined it could be so much fun! I also have a blank canvas on which to create an architectural landscape
beyond the grass waking up from its winter slumber. I get teased all the time about my excitement over that event, but when I was in California, the grass was always green! Osso would be proud of my three year plan to turn my yard into paradise. Smile

Physically, I am feeling better than I have in years and years. I was feeling way too old for being this damn young and since I have been hooked up with my new doctors here and them doing some tests and scans and adjustments and tweaks to my old regime, I am feeling like a real person. I can even sleep all night now and actually wake up feeling, get this....refreshed!! What a novel idea, eh? Smile Refreshing sleep and I never knew it existed before!

Someone mentioned Seed. I too, have heard from him regarding his deployment. We have a common thread, in that he knows my son is also in the Army and will be deployed sometime between September and December. Seed may not feel as if he is doing enough, but trust me. As the mother of a son who drives a Bradley, I (and my son) are deeply grateful that you know what you know and do it so well.

I won't be gone much anymore, I hope. Between wife-ing, stepmom-ing, gardening and decorating, there is always room for A2K, right?

Tico's avatar sums it all up....I'll be back!

Lady J, you're like a very bright light wandering through a2k.
It is so good to "see" you and hear of your bliss, and
that all is well and you're happy.

It is SO good to be "home"! Back with all of you dearly wonderful folks I have admired, adored and missed very much. Smile Thank you for the welcome back!

It's funny how life will pull you in different directions at different times and before you know it, months have flown by. I am really so in awe though that life is being this good to me. Oddly enough, it was predicted a very long time ago that the second half of my life would be much more rewarding, fulfilling and happier than the first half. I'll never doubt a seer or profit again, I don't think. I just never realized it would all happen seemingly so sudden. It really was like walking through a door and closing it behind me and ending up in a place as close to paradise as I could ever imagine.

I sometimes think I should feel guilty about feeling this good. It's an all over, physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual sense of calm and serenity. It's the first time in 40 some years that I have not felt stressed about something. Well sure, I worry about my folks, mom in particular with her cancer, but her doctors say that even she is improving much to their amazement. Her largest and most worrisome tumor has shrunk to half its original size with her chemo and she feels good. Bald, yes, but good just the same.

Maybe my own life mantra has kicked in. Maybe I have finally learned to accept instead of expect. Whatever it is, I like it and even more than that, I am blessed to share it with all of you. Thank you all for being here. A constant, a grounding, a true friend.

I was just looking at my avatar and was quite alarmed to see how ashen-looking I have become.

I need to get some sun.

Well, gus. You must come to Florida. I have lots of work that needs to be done around the golf course, and the alligators are quite docile

Hmmm. Also wonder about dyslexia. I know that Diane is in Boston, but haven't seen the cowboy for about four days. Too early to be concerned, I guess.
