And when I and my pals were in Tikal (Guatemala), the guide was a woman who had hitched up from Rio (!!!!!), and somewhere along the line married a Belize indian, they not speaking each other's languages, and she, when we met her was doing archeological guiding. As I remember it they were still married. I forget the details if I knew them.. we only talked after her tour, and before our plane, such as it was. She might have been British to start with. She was interested in the three of us, which - looking back - was silly, she was the brave/interesting one.

J_B, i will be in chicago, illinois next month. (there's a chicago in belize, by the way. Smile)

ossob, we spent one night in Tikal, but for some reason, the howlers didn't keep us up all night as i had been led to believe that they might.

just got back from hearing Jeff Beck at the 4th & B in SD, CA, hence the lateness of my post. Cool

the guitarist? (I am sooo out of it, but remember liking him).

As to SD, I remember seeing/hearing Baez, acapella, at the SD arena, whatever venue that was.

So do I, Region. The man certainly knew about the Jewish faith from an orthodox view. Although a bit "set in his ways", I learned a great deal from his posts.

I heard from Gautam. He's in Dubai. Having a grand time again.

He asked me to pop by and say "hi" for him.

Yeah, thanks all. I had the hard drive replaced a while back. Now it seems to take very long to download anything and last night it wouldn't even turn on. But I love it anyway. Letty, you have a Mac too?

Actually I bought this one in July of 2004. Luckily, I purchased a three-year service insurance with it.

Na, I suppose, internet-cafés can be used as day care homes.

But I can't quite see JL hanging out at an internet cafe, Walter. But, you never know!

Well, I'm back on line. I thought I had a hardware problem because of the crash and my inability to turn the machine on. But now it's running fine; might have been a viral problem that has self-corrected (such matters are totally mysterious to me, and I want to keep them that way, for some neurotic reason). But if I disappear you'll know why. It certainly will NOT be because I have overcome my addiction to you folks.
By the way, msolga, I used to be a regular denizen in the sixties of Hollywood coffee houses, so old folks internet cafes are not out of the question. Thanks for the lead, Walter.
