My classmate crush

He sounds kind of dumb, you ask me. What could be less difficult than dating a class mate. I mean, it isn't remotely the same as working together.

Ask him where he thinks he's going to meet someone. College is the most natural place on earth to get acquainted. Tell him that.

He said he had some experience dating a classmate before and that they just fought about the most stupid things, but he does really want a relationship. I'm just really scared to tell him how I feel because we're in the same group of friends and our friends tease us with the fact that we would make a great couple and if I tell him it will maybe ruin the whole dynamic of the group.

Become friends with him. If more happens, then it happens. In the meantime, keep your other options open.

But a word of caution: he sounds like he may be an emotionally closed off person and might be difficult to have a relationship with. You want a happy, generous, and happy man. Avoid moody men. He's way too young to make blanket statements like cutting off all options for himself.

Don't talk to him about your feelings at this point. Talk about the movie/s, music, the world, art, science, other neutral/ish stuff. Don't talk about your friends/relationships/major personal stuff.

Ask him questions - find out what music he likes - find out instruments/musicians he likes - ask him open-ended questions so a conversation can develop.
