@McGentrix,
This is pretty horrible from my point of view.

I hope that Trump makes you happy over the next 4 years. He is yours now.

@maporsche,
Tbere are sane Republicans. We will be OK.

And this is the best chance for us to pick up the House in 2018.

Mexico and Canada call for calm at the borders.

Republicans astounded that markets buy the rumor and sell the fact.

Insurance premiums higher on the ratchet.

Human rights take a back seat to limousine service.

Well the world turns :

There are pluses and negatives. On the plus side the Second Amendment will be safe now. One of Trump's first acts will be to overturn all those outrageous executive orders.

Plus we will soon have a Supreme Court that will enforce the Second Amendment.

It's possible, but don't forget all the gerrymandering.

Republicans should consider changing the law in most states so that presidential electors are chosen by individual congressional districts. That way the same gerrymandering that throws the House to Republican control can do the same for the presidency.

@oralloy,
That's a bright spot from my perspective. Still, he may have just saying what he believe his demographic wanted to hear.

No chance. Trump will be picking Scalia's replacement. And note the ages of the following left-wing justices:

Stephen Breyer: 78
Anthony Kennedy: 80
Ruth Bader Ginsburg: 83

After Trump's four appointees are added to Thomas, Alito and Roberts, we'll have a 7-2 conservative majority.

I trust him. He blew all the right Second Amendment dogwhistles for me.

I admit that ten minutes before I voted I did waver and consider splitting my ticket between Hillary and downballot Republicans because I favor Hillary's foreign policy. But then a liberal attempted to sway me with a sneering argument that I didn't need to worry about Hillary and guns because she was only going to ban assault weapons. Deer hunters would be fine.

I know the gun banners are out of touch, but wow. That was all I needed to mark a straight Republican ticket.

I hope we don't have a nuclear war now though. The attack ads about that were silly, but it is quite possible that Trump will fail to avoid a conventional war with a nuclear power, which will then escalate until nukes are launched.

@oralloy,
I definitely split the ticket, but I'm not really sure it's a good idea to have president and both houses of congress of the same party.

I think what the election also showed was that the hinterlands of the U.S. seems to have developed a taste for New Yorkers that speak their minds.

Actually, could be a constitutional crisis. So far he has shown next to nothing in comprehending The Constitution.
