still looking, it had to do with the following and a "major" breakthrough. a number of people in this field are now looking at algae and river toxins as a source.

I tried to find info too.... what does this last article have to do with toxic algae? Forgive me if it's obvious, I have a cold and am a bit flighty.

originally it was thought that lytico-bodig was caused by eating fruit bats which feed on a toxic berry. that idea was followed for years by a number of well known and respected researchers. that thinking has changed to thinking that toxic alagae etc. may be the cause of this disease. if i had put the correct link above everything would have been explained.

there is a feeling among researchers that if they can isolate the cause of lytico-bodig, they will find the key to other like diseases, parkinsons, als, etc.
