Are they among us?

I have always had this fight inside of myself between God and Satan being real, and none of it being real. Recently I have had some very weird... occurrences. I have found myself surrounded by a couple new people that seem odd(?). At first I thought nothing of it but as time goes on, I am beginning to question everything. Does anyone think it is possible for angels and demons to be walking among us, in human form? For them to coexist as if they are humans until the day the AntiChrist rises again? And if so, how do you find the others? How does all of this make sense and how do I play my role?

No, nope, silly and you might need therapy.

There are no angels.
There is no satan.
There are no demons.
There is no anti-christ.

@Sariel,
You're going to ascribe ultimate good or evil to acquaintances just because you find them odd?

@Sariel,
Sar a notion eventually explored claims that the idea of 'real' or 'unreal' aren't entirely encompassing and likewise 'whether or not there's a God'

a couple new people
So Sar can you describe them, are they 'real'

I don't think they are in human form. The game is a lot more subtle than that.

Whether humans can be influenced by them is a different question though.

This is from Bel Marra Health:

Quote:
Paranoid schizophrenia is a type of schizophrenia in which the patient experiences delusions that somebody may be plotting against them or their family or friends. This is the most common form of schizophrenia. These patients may also experience auditory hallucinations, meaning they hear things that are not real.

Patients may spend majority of their time thinking of ways they can protect themselves or their loved ones from these delusions or hallucinations.

You might consider whether or not your belief system is leading you into an unwarranted paranoia. You might benefit from some counseling, which is often available free of charge from student health services, community health services or employer benefit programs. You should discuss a subject like this with a professional.

@Sariel,
There are certainly good people and bad people Sariel. You must trust your instincts regarding them and realize that you are not forced to be around these people. Beware of who you hang out with. Regardless of what religion you belong to or don't, there are a lot of very bad, very evil people in the world and you don't need to be around them if you have a choice. Regarding the struggle within: It is you making choices Sariel. You choose between the good and the evil. Protect yourself and love those who love you. Candlelight8

@Sariel,
It doesn't seem right for people with no medical training to be suggesting you may have a mental disorder. As someone with some experience in that field I'd like to point out you didn't actually describe anything that seems schizophrenic. It sounded to me like you have religious ideas, and they are running with your imagination lately, giving you trouble. And why not, that's what christianity is good for! ..making people feel troubled and ashamed and guilty and judgmental and every horrible thing. (Sorry, but it is true.) I assure you it's just one of many creation myths. It was created by cavemen. And the "bible" has been found to be just wrong, all through it (even believers know that, which is why they pick and chose what to believe of it, and then change things by "interpreting"...and Bah! Don't you think if that book were actually "Gods sacred word" it'd be full of truth that cannot be denied or found fault in?

Well it's faulty. But again: cavemen wrote it.

I dislike christianity because of all the religions that are and have been, it's a particularly nasty one. It's quite detrimental with its recommendations of repression and oppression and guilt and fear and shame, and excluding and condemning (and even killing) people of different kinds. I cant see it as a tale of a "loving forgiving" supreme being who made everything, when I notice that it says 144,00o will go to heaven, and EIGHT BILLION will be burned in torment FOREVER.

Seriously, the only religion that tells more horrible ideas than Christianity is Islam.

Why not try Buddhism? In that religion, there is no bad or good. All simply is and needs to be. All is of God. So no one needs to judge or condemn or feel guilty or afraid of a monster in the sky burning them unendingly if they don't apologize for every stray thought.

Or you could try Hinduism, which is also one of the nice religions..in that its notion of recurring lifetimes means that no one is lesser or better than anyone else - we are all just younger or older..and all headed towards full development in the end. How egalitarian. How nice!

So please beware of medical advice from people with no training. And know that if you need a religion, there are CHOICES - including not at all, or one of the kinder religions like Hinduism and Bhuddism. And be aware that religious ideas can be particularly compelling to the mind, so I have found it best to avoid religion as it cannot be proved, and I don't wish to be going about acting as if a myth is real (That actually is crazy, by definition at least) (to think the unreal is real). But no worries, if you're stuck with the religion your childhood conditioned into you, well..many people have that condition to deal with too, so no one should condemn you as crazy for it. But just know, honestly, it isn't real . But a lot of folks seem to need a sense of being spiritual, so they cling to their adopted creation myth. And ok, but foe me, a generic sense of being spiritual is enough (so no god, no formal religion, just explore being intuitive and feeling part of a larger whole (people, and the universe I suppose). One doesn't HAVE to believe in a monster in the sky who will throw you into a lake of fire and never extinguish you not in a trillion years of "moaning and gnashing teeth in agony", if you don't apologize and repress and beg forgiveness often enough while you live your 80 years of judgmentality and self repression. *frown* ! One CAN be spiritual without having to imagine evil entities (including the omnipotent being himself, from the bible's description of "Him").

@Sariel,
It might also interest you to understand that what you think of tends to become. So if you think of (or develop a fear that recurs) of 'evil entities", you will end up feeling frightened and creeped out. But if you continually think of a loving humanity around you, and good things coming your way, the mind has a way of leading you to those kinds of things. And you will start finding everything is pretty nice and even fortuitous all the time. What you think becomes! Ever watch Wayne Dyer on PBS at pledge time? (look him up on you tube if you like, you could watch a speech of his). He's a spiritual teacher, but doesn't speak of a god, just teaches some tenets of being a spiritual being and in charge of what you make for yourself. Its quite empowering! It'll make you feel good, to hear such positive speak.

And one thing that he says often is this:

"Never think of what you don't want. Always think of what you do wish to happen."

And then he explains that you dont have to figure out HOW you will get what it is you're thinking you need next on your trek; it is enough to just think if it, imagine having it, then forget about it and go on with your journey. What you need will show up! ("what you think of becomes.")

I like this kind of talk because I find it true, and it matters to not be the victim of this reality (ie, someone who keeps imaging a bad condition for himself, so he keeps getting one! because he doesn't realize he could simply think of a more positive outcome and have it instead Wink -->You got to employ this rule of how being spiritual works, not be the victim of it.

Oh by the way, you know how it is said that "God speaks through people" sometimes? Well I find some truth in that. But is more to do with Carl Jung's "synchronicity" than anything else..but still, yes, there are good people who will nurture and care and help and spread good humor; and there are those who are quite empathically sensitive who may mirror back an answer to you you sought...and then again there are people who are what the word evil means! (those who would inflict pain for enjoyment...you know, like cops, and guys who kill animals for pleasure, or become jail guards because ooh isn't it fun to torment people in cages, and so on....evil people. People who are into hurting or constricing others. So DONT imagine demons around you hon. There aren't any actual demons, but you COULD end up attracting nasty souls who enjoy inflicting pain and harm who do exist.

Really, just think of your life as having a purpose, and youre on a trek and all you gotta do is think of what you need next to get on with your purpose...and think of positive things that you need, and think of good people who add to your existence...and they will come!! (Just never never think of what you dont want, only think of what you do. Its very powerful, and you dont have to be the victim of this, you can use it to make a good enjoyable life for yourself.

Yeah. Sorry. But this bears repeating until you actually are in the doctor's office and talking seriously about these issues to that medical expert.

@Sariel,
One thing I have noticed is that different people may give you what seems to be well thought out and reasonable answers. But conflicting answers. You will have to plow through them with your best judgement.
I'll say this:
You are not alone with your questions. And you seem more in need of study than therapy. Don't give up.

@neologist,
Thank you for not calling me crazy. I think it's funny for people to believe in a God but the minute someone like me starts reaching out and asking questions as to if it's a real, I am the crazy one.

Here is the thing. If demons exist as they can influence you to behave in a certain way then you are noy rrsponsible for your choice.

If someone brainwashed you to become a sleeper cell. Then you carried out a crime based on their brainwashing you wouldnt be responsible for your action if you didnt have control.
