About 2 years ago. should add it's 3 pictures stitched together.
It will be interesting to compare views after the current events settle back down.

She's getting ready to blow again. They are evacuating part of the mountain and have raised the alert to level 3.

I have. Cool. Seems to be calming down now.
We're still at level 3 - eruption expected. They seem to think that it is still just gearing up for something.
The live coverage on the news today has really been fun to watch.
I notice watering flowing in the channel - didn't notice that a few days back. (or it looks like water)
I saw that too husker, and while they didn't say anything specific about it on the news they did talk about the water in the crater - from the melting glaciers. I imagine that is where other water is coming from too.
The weather report calls for increasing cloudiness over the next few days. Today might be our last chance to get a good look.

I sure hope so, too! When Mt. Saint Helen originally blew its top, my family was living in Surrey, British Columbia. I remember having to clean ash off of our car!
they say the ash is going to go to the west og here in Spokane
I've also heard it's blowing east (of here). Last big blow, 20+ years ago, Portland was covered in ash, as were points north and east, I believe. Eugene, where I lived, got nada...
