We do not at this time (far as we posters know) what it's about, but we here for a while recognize the experience, via the multiple western breakfast threads quite a while ago, thus our takes that it is probably some class playing on George to see what happens; George, who has translated re latin well here for many years.

This makes us pissy.

I took four years of latin myself. George is miles smarter than I am on it. Also smarter than Google translates, by a great deal. He doesn't claim to be a latin professor, never has.

I can't know for certain, but I strongly suspect it is all the same person
under various usernames (Xiaoping? Seriously?).

All the Latin sentences are inscriptions taken from a book entitled
By Roman Hands: Inscriptions and Graffiti for Students of Latin.

I read most of the book in the Burlington Barnes & Noble a couple of years ago.
