That is an interesting point - and, in fact, a very broad one.

Anyone who has the experience of knowing in detail about events described in the media, knows how little the story usually tells us about what was really going on.

If only he had taken off those Christmas Decorations he might not have been hurt.

My mom always said you shouldn't put christmas decorations on when going to a concert with a lot of rednecks attending. They are likely to mistake you for a piñata. And think of all that glass and what it could do to you not to mention the possibility of choking on cranberries tinsel and popcorn.

I have to wonder at Greyfan's use of the term "alleged attacker". Is there doubt that there was an attacker?

I prefer to call it a provocative image...leaving the imagination to run wild...picturing scenes of great tenderness and love belowdecks.......but then it's no secret that I'm a romantic at heart......

From the pic, it looks like there was something - fight/attack - I don't know - and it looks like the Columbus news doesn't either.

well.no one deserves an ass whipping when they're trying to just hang out in any case......but I have to agree with old pirate tits that things can get out of hand right quick at concerts...especially where alcohol is served......

I do find it odd that someone would pick a fight with a soldier at a Toby Keith concert...U2 maybe......

I tend to think it's more likely he was beat up for some miscellaneous reason (having to do with liquid courage as mentioned by Ms. Pirate), and the "...because of the Iraqi Freedom t-shirt" part was overlaid.

But who knows?

Mebbe I'll ask around...
