I've used the "parents must be retarded" line, some girls laugh...SOME, not most.
Some years ago I and my assistant were waiting for the arival of a client. He along with his attractive PA duly turned up. My assistant would as a rule offer to organise refreshments of some kind. He turned to the young PA and with a straight face said to her --- "Is there anything I can get you ?.......like, excited ?" Silence fell and settled for about 30 seconds, followed, thankfully by smiles and then laughter.
