The minute I saw this, all I could think of was, man, is there anyone who is actually gonna believe this?

Then I realized, sadly, yes, there are plenty of folks who will. <sighing, shaking head>

Hmmmmmm - after Cheney saying that electing Kerry would cause an apocalyptic terror attack against the USA, I don't see why anything would surprise anyone any more.

GOP Mailing Warns Liberals Will Ban Bibles

2 hours, 21 minutes ago

By WILL LESTER, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - Campaign mail with a return address of the Republican National Committee (news - web sites) warns West Virginia voters that the Bible will be prohibited and men will marry men if liberals win in November.

The literature shows a Bible with the word "BANNED" across it and a photo of a man, on his knees, placing a ring on the hand of another man with the word "ALLOWED." The mailing tells West Virginians to "vote Republican to protect our families" and defeat the "liberal agenda."

Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie said Friday that he wasn't aware of the mailing, but said it could be the work of the RNC. "It wouldn't surprise me if we were mailing voters on the issue of same-sex marriage," Gillespie said.

The flier says Republicans have passed laws protecting life, support defining marriage as between a man and a woman and will nominate conservative judges who will "interpret the law and not legislate from the bench."

"The liberal agenda includes removing `under God' from the Pledge of Allegiance," it says."

These people make me want to vomit.

Thanks for the direction BPB. Thanks for posting the article dlowan. Cool

The GOP has nothing better to do than introduce lame ascertions/scare tactics about the Democrats/Liberals in this country. The GOP has become a pathetic lot. I pray this party does not continue to have control of this country for four more years.

That's funny edgar...ALL of my husbands family buys this load of horse manure.

Having stolen one national election to put themselves in power, these people will do what ever is necessary to retain power.

Rather than being pissed off at the RNC for insulting Jim Bob's intelligence, Jim Bob will run out to support the very people who think he's an idiot. Un-freaking-believable.

That's right, Jim Bob's a little further south.

Thanks, it's good to be on a message board where opinions can be expressed without resorting to insults and childish name calling. I'd just about given up on finding a decent board to have rational discussions with other critical thinkers.
