Asherman, if she is Xanthippe, that would make you Socrates, and a better man than me...

Gosh, which ones got away that I regret? I regret nothing, just like Edith Piaf... Wink

Most men have an Xanthippe. Unfortunately, not all Xanthippe's have such good raw material as Socrates.

I read every bit of Ashermans thread and it had a meditative quality to it. Very enjoyable.

Be patient with an old man. I don't understand "ITA", and etc. Wha?

That was sublime, Asherman. Take a bow.

I'm going to go back and read it again.

There's one like that, but she had a bf at that time and now she's married (to someone else). Wasn't until later I realized to what great extent we had something mutual and I guess she didn't either until then, but when she and her bf broke up I'd already moved from town so there was never any real chance. We never talked about it, but spent three weeks on a trip to a foreign country, as friends but there was always more than that to it but none of us acted on it. Things you will always regret I guess. But it's in the past so no use to feel remorse, it was just one branch of many in the huge tree of my life.
