Hi..

If I say :

-See you next week or see you the next week, which one is right ?

-I will be spending next christmas with my family.( I read that you can't really say the next christmas ) .

which one is correct :

- Neither of my parents will come.

- None of my parents will come.

Also,

- Neither of my friends is interested.

- None of my friend is interested.

Hi, Navi--

'Next week' refers to the week immediately after the conversation; 'the next week' is used to refer to the week following another time under discussion.

You would say 'the next Christmas' if you were comparing it to your plans for another Christmas under discussion.

'Neither' is two; 'none' is more. So if your parents are divorced and re-married, then it could be 'none of my parents'. 'Neither' is the norm, however.

The same for your friends: if you are speaking of two, use the first sentence; if more, use the second.
