Have you noticed the spelling "CHARley" in the image?
I wonder if it is a misspelling? Or it is done deliberately?
It is probably done deliberately or it is a person's name, and is spelt that way. Charlie has many different variations of spelling, ie Charlie, Charley, Charli, Charliey, etc...
Sorry. I wonder if you've learned that Charley is the name of a hurricane that hit Florida badly?
Looks like the lettering, at least, is by someone who knows no better!
The hurricane names alternate between male and female. Charley was the spelling for that particular hurricane.
If you are asking about the mixture of upper case and lower case letters,Oristar, it is not uncommon in very informal writing like this. In fact, some native English writers have the habit of doing so whenever they print rather than using script-- it's a matter of idiosyncrasy. I do also, when I am scrawling memos, for instance. I did not have a strict penmanship course in school-- we do not use ideograms, of course, so there is seldom much importance attached to how beautifully one handwrites, as long as it is legible.
Hmm, a matter of idiosyncrasy!
Thank you all!
