Which one is better?

(1) Zhejiang's long coast of the East China Sea offers travellers with a golden path to travel. Along the path, there is a romantic island of Dongtou.

Thanks Setanta. Smile

Did 'scan" here mean "to examine closely'? I found there is an another definition for the word "scan" -- "look over or leaf through hastily". The latter seems to contradict the former.

I believe he means 'flow', like a poem scans; it has a nice rhythm. I don't want to put words into Setanta's mouth, though.

I find an 'island' along a 'path' a little strange, and I wonder if you could find an alternative for 'path'-- like 'course' or 'route', which could apply equally to sea travel.

MM is correct, Oristar, your dicitionary might not list the definition of scan which means a phrase or sentence which "flows smoothly" . . .

Indeed MM and Setanta, I could not find the definition that refers to "flow smmothly" for the word scan. Smile
Now the sentence is:
Zhejiang's long East China Sea coast offers travellers a golden path to travel. Along the route, there is a romantic island called Dongtou.
