The expression "got it made" or "has it made" means that someone is successful, and possibly that one didn't succeed by one's own efforts or merit.

Hi Mac,

Did you mean his sister has successfully exchange the places with him?

In addition, do you think what 'place" most likely means here?

I believe that he means that he would happily change places with his sister because she is rich.

Thanks.

The place means "dwelling"?

PS. What made you deemed that his sister is rich?

No, to change places does not refer to a specific place such as a dwelling. It is more general.

In my first response, I referred to being successful. Successful doesn't necessarily mean rich, but it is implied.

I disagree- "She's got it made" CAN mean that she is rich, but not necessarily. I think that the meaning is that she has something positive happening to her, in the writer's opinion, which could mean riches.

For instance,

"My sister Ann has Ms. Jones as a math teacher. Ms. Jones is a far better teacher, than the one that I have. I think that Ann has got it made."

Jane has all the boys running after her, and she doesn't even have to try. She has got it made.

The boss likes Joe, and gives him all the great assignments. Joe has got it made.
