The school has formed a strong foundation for high education and comparatively strong abilities in scientific reaserch and development, and a string of patents and achievements in scientific research were reached.

I think you should turn this into a new sentence- it gets kinda long.

Also, by "high education" do you mean, "higher education"?

I think two of my dictionaries misled me, because they adopted "high education" there.

But funny that, I searched "high education" in google and got 15,100,000 items listed there (all referred to "higher education'!), while searched "higher education" just got 10,600,000 items!
