Labor Day 2004

Reply Sun 5 Sep, 2004 07:46 pm
Tomorrow I will hold close to my heart the men and women of all the labor organizations throughout the world.

The people who brought us the 8 hour work day and five day work week. Equal pay for equal work, etc.

These same workers along with other groups are taking on the current political machine in the courts on behalf of all working people.

Yes, me too, Joanne. Smile But also the rapidly growing ranks of the unemployed & under-employed. I wish there was a voice for them, too.

Thank you for the link. Later, when I have more time, I'll check out the current concerns of unions from countries around the world.
