First of all source does matter if it doesn't have any credibility. Secondly, it is exactly why all those untrue made up stories are being released, because sometimes, Cicerone, is difficult to prove or disprove those stories.

On the other hand story coming from reputable source most likely will be true because it is always checked and rechecked before published for authenticity
