May your shadow never grow less!

If not, what do you say like this nowadays?

Another question:

The sexist, locker-room jive of men boasting and bonding.

What does "bond" mean here?

oristar--

I can't cite chapter and verse, but "May your shadow never grow less," is a modern creation by J.R.R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings I think it is a farewell common among dwarves, but I haven't read the trilogy for some time and my memory is not what it was.

As for Male Bonding:

Supposedly locker room, sporting events, chilling out, cruising, summer camp and other "manly" pursuits give men a chance to know each other and "bond", "join" in friendship.
