What if we are no longer allowed to use makeup?

One of the very best women I've ever met used no makeup at all, so far as I could tell. Still, I'm against banning without a solid medical reason. Kind of like tattoos.

@roger,
I agree
it is all about self confidence
one can also build self confidence by makeup, right ?

@Amel Mrissa,
I'm not keen lately on eyeliner, looks too obvious on me.

@Amel Mrissa,
my life wouldn't change much

I had a new year's resolution a couple of years ago to put some makeup on everyday

I lasted about a month - and that had to include days where all I used was lip balm.

@Amel Mrissa,
There are positive effects to wearing makeup. There is research people will judge a woman with eye makeup to be more intelligent, and that women who wear lip makeup will be viewed as more attractive. Women who wear makeup in general are viewed as more healthy and vibrant.

If you don't care about how people view your appearance, than makeup is meaningless.

But for women who are in professions or situations where they are judged by their appearance, makeup is a fairly inexpensive, science-backed way to increase their success.

I don't know why it would be banned. Maybe it would be more fair if it were normal for men to wear makeup in business or social settings.

@ehBeth,
I refuse to leave the house in a ball cap and sunglasses because I didn't have time to comb my hair or put on mascara and lipstick. I understand many women find it a chore but for me is as necessary as bathing and deodorant. My routine is ingrained, Ive done almost the same thing for 50 years. Its just what women my age have done for forever.

@glitterbag,
I won't leave the house without make-up either - or have my hair done for that matter. I might look like a slob on weekends, but as long as I go to work, I have to look presentable.

If makeup was banned, the covers of David Bowie records would look a lot different.

The girls? Wait till you hear from the powerful cosmetic lobby.

I guess there's a cosmetic lobby, and they are all described as 'powerful'.

@Amel Mrissa,
There would be a lot more uglier people walking around, that's for sure. Have you seen contouring videos before? HOLY COW. You will see the most unattractive people ever that look like models after application. I would rather look at women with makeup ON.

@Amel Mrissa,
As long as Animal testing continues to be banned I don't care.

Actually, I use a lot less than I used to when I was younger and I feel younger for doing so, imagine all that cake on your face and forgetting to take it off at night, or having to take it off everynight there are pros for no make-up.

Can't go without bright lipstick of some colour any colour pending on what I am wearing...

"Stars without make-up" When I see those photos I actually smile and say, well, well, see you are beautiful without it as well.
