She don't drink beer, she don't eat 'roo, she don't like the footie. I s'pose you're going to say you don't go to Russell Crowe's concerts, either?

I had some fantastic roo at a restaurant in the city the other day! Best I've ever eaten! Cooked just exactly right. Needs a good red to go with it. We just sat there in the sun and watched the harbour, and chomped on our roo - and remembered why we live in Sydney! We can make it part of the A2K Oz convention!
And no-one in their right mind (or even not!) goes to Russell Crowe concerts! Although, when in Oz, he does live up near Moondoggy - unless he's at his mega-million pile on Sydney Harbour

Isn't The Crowe managed by a Koala and perhaps M.Faithfull missed her concert as well coz she was having a Biblical Begatting Congress with a Koala, you never know what entertainments finest are up to.

God, i saw Marrianne Faithful in Ireland more than 20 years ago, and she looked like 40 miles of bad road then . . . the mere thought of looking upon that faded rose makes me shudder . . .

Setanta -- If Miss MF is a faded rose, she's probably covered in green fly. I think of her more as a dandilion.
that's a bit bitchy, say sorry.
no, it's a case of mutton dressed as lamb
tut tut tut
where's the brown paper bag to go over her head. Her old boat race isn't exactly one of glory

I would have loved to have seen Marianne Faithfull.
I didn't know age affected how good a performer somebody was.

Sentata & oldandnew
I think Marianne's become a lot more interesting as she's gotten older ... from "Broken English" on ... Really admire that she's been through so much, survived & remained creative ..

No, guess not. But I prefer the gutsy, experienced woman to the dolly bird Marianne.

Yessies - mind you, she was SOME woman even as a wee dollybird. 'Twas she who turned the Stones "on", apparently, as it were, more than the other way round...
