Though the country (1)/ has abundant coal reserves (2)/ it has been imported coal(3)/ at a high cost.




Is there any error?
Please explain it.

Though the country (1)/ has abundant coal reserves (2)/ someone please explain why it has long imported coal,(3)/ and at high cost.

Though the country (1)/ has abundant coal reserves (2)/ it has been reported to import some,(3)/ and at a surprisingly high cost.

You only need to remove the word 'been'.
