Hey all. I downloaded and installed Skype and it won't let me use the service but demands I set up a pay as you go or a subscription. What goes? I thought the service was free. Am I not installing properly?

Reinstall it, directly from the Skype site or your app store. Skype is free.

If you plan to call phones that are not Skype-connected, there is a fee (very small but you need to pay a subscription). If you plan to go Skype-to-Skype only, it's free.
