Hello,
All my friends drink on occassion and they dont pressure me into drinking but i always wanted to feel the "buzz" or whatver. the thing im nervous about is i have only 1 kidney and im not sure that if i get drunk i could die or have some horrible consequence. Im 15 years old and in good health(little overweight, by 10 pounds) but overall im a normal 15 year old with 1 kidney. so is it a safe bet i could just try it once and be ok? thanks
Check with your doctor first, please. That is the best thing to do.
well what exactly does the kidney do for the body? and how does drinking affect it.
The kidney, along with the liver, flushes toxins from the body. Alcohol is poison to people with liver or kidney disfunction. I know, beause I have liver problems and diabetes, and need my kidneys checked regularily, and I'm not that old, just 33. It's a simple thing to ask your doctor if it's okay. Then you will know for sure.
If you're in a few countries, even Australia, your a minor and can't legally drink. Hell, supplying you with booze IS a crime! So what if your 'friends' are pressuring you! Big hint: they need the sight of folk like you drinking to make their drinking easier to justify.
Sheesh Stilly...that's what I get for skimming a thread. I didn't even notice he was a minor.
