What's the meaning of "it's a vine"?

Ive looked into dictionaries, all I found was meanings for the field of plants, but when you google the phrase, appearently people use the word for different meanings.

@barbaraswan,
I didn't know myself, so I looked it up and it turns out that Vine is a website where people make 6 second long videos, frequently humorous. So it turns out that it has become a slang expression among people who know of this website, (I didn't), when asked why you did something unusual or perhaps stupid, to respond, "I did it for the vine".
