@edgarblythe,
I keep running into new Van Gogh's every month or so. LAst year I found a whole batch of paintings he did of dead crabs , all in different color motifs.

HEre is just one

I recognize after the fact VG strokes in the upper LH corner but never would have taken that painting as a VG on first look. Its so light and airy and freely painted. It has to be early. Very 'cool' colors for VG.

The crab painting is also like nothing I've ever seen from him. Though the colors do look more VGish.

Only goes to show one how even a good art history education can only skim the surface of any one painter.

@edgarblythe,
The top of it is amazing, the lower part of it is amazing, the integration is amazing, the whole is actively beautiful, active = right now.
My idea of beauty is a little different from the usual, as I consider it as 'fit', in contrast to the matter of pretty, and similar. I won't go on about it as I spent a lot of time on it in early a2k art threads, back with the old art crew. I remember, I think, that JLNobody understood me.

@ossobucotemp,
Something about coming on this painting all of a sudden is dazzling. I want a poster of it for my wall.

@ossobucotemp,
Sorry to keep using the word amazing, as back when I looked at style design, it was a universal word I hated.
