I ask this b/c he's on the record saying extremist things, along the lines of, "Every act of aggression can expect U.S. retaliation. Every act of terror can expect reprisal," the whole business of a preemptive strike(http://www.whitehouse.gov/nsc/nss.pdf) Also, didn't he say, "We will brook no rival," (http://www.yaledailynews.com/article.asp?AID=20100) regarding trade and allowing other nations to acquire power. Somehow, and perhaps I am wrong, but somehow I thought conservatives were prudent people, and the things Dubya says don't sound prudent.
How can it be prudent to reject containment and deterrence doctrines, which worked throughout the Cold War, in favor of the preemptive strike?
Also, his views on morality:
If we've been doomed to decide morality for the whole entire world, won't this lead us into pereptual war with somebody? Because
how can all the world agree on what is moral??? We've lost before we begin, don't you think?
So is he conservative, or is he something else? If he's something else,
what is he???
