Where would you say you fall upon the political spectrum?

I suspect we will find some amusing claims for the center.

radical non-violent anarchist existentialist, we are a small but growing party and have hopes of getting on the ballot sometime in the 21st century.

I am left of liberal, and I am always right.

Does this mean I should pick "In between"?

No slur.

I would never insult an Easter Bunny that's packing.

Given the choices, I'll pick liberal, as in the US version of the word.

Oh, I thought Lenin was a Leninist.

I used to be in the middle, but over the last four years have had to distance myself from the right by taking two steps to the left. (That is, of course, quite different from two sheets to the wind. Just so ya know) Smile

Kind of a funny poll as I don't think there is a viable Liberal or a Conservative party in the U.S. anymore. There are two major parties with conservative leanings there, both saying they represent the majority in the middle. Unhhhhhhnnnnnnnn.

I'm what would once have been called a liberal democrat, slightly right of centre. That makes me verging on Communist freak in comparison to both main U.S. parties.

Quote:
At its most basic level, liberal democracy includes, as its name suggests, two great ideals. First, is the belief in democracy--the idea that the people should rule.
<snip>
Quote:
Second, are the important liberal components to some democracies. These include constitutionalism, protection of basic rights--including the right of private property--political and economic competition, and free choice both at the ballot box and in the marketplace.

Hard to believe that liberal is such a dirty word to some people now.

I am left of both too, ehbeth, but liberal is a more lefty word to people in the US than abroad, as you know. And, as has been pointed out on many threads, these choices above are fairly gross and misleading.

And yet you felt compelled to respond.

Interesting.
