Most of us who post a lot like it enough to keep coming back. Smile

It is a site with many forums, which are denoted by tags. To find a subject you are interested in, such as sports or nature or religion or philosophy or art... just add the subject to the Search forums window, and very likely you will suddenly see pages of threads on whatever subject you entered.

Pol I guess is politics, but it could be polygamy, Phil, may be philosophy, but it could be the Philippines, the works of Philip Roth, or just some some guy called Phil Dahl met on holiday. (He is over 80 you know.) Rel, perhaps means religion, but it could be relative butt sizes, Dahl has never been the same since he saw that picture of Kim Kardashian shitting in a bin liner.

When Hileman first came here, he used to brag about being a journalist (can you imagine? ! ? ! ?). He'd used made up abbreviations (he once admitted to having made some of them up), in the hope that someone would ask him about them, and then he could say that it was just a habit he had picked up during his career as a journalist. Leaving aside that journalists are the lowest of ostensibly literate life forms, that's a damned feeble conversational ploy.

He does it to English language learners, too, which is a really shabby thing to do.

Do you mean in behaving or disbehaving is fun?
Teaching a non native speaker something wrong is not even disbehaving but nasty.
Fun is:
Many years ago on Capri when people were selling souvenirs by the boat coming in.
Some Dane had tautght an Italian to say in Danish "everything I sell is really ****" Of course the Danes and other Scandinavians were laughing and buying things.
