I am looking for a VERY SUCCINT Latin translation of the phrase "Origin and Cause" - this term is used in fire investigation, which is what I do for $$. The idea is, we find where the fire originated, then determine how it started.
I need something short, ideally two words.
What Eos wrote is correct, but for things like the one you need "origo et causa" is better... is the same form of "ora et labora"
