I can't tell if I'm bothering David n. Burke Carlsbad ca or if he likes me as just a friend? Or is avoiding me cause my baby father is his friend?

We can't tell either. Especially from the little bit you wrote here. You might want to try asking him. That would probably be my advice even if you were a bit more clear about the situation.
