world of that time* suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of
destruction of the ungodly men*." Whether you believe him or not, Peter certainly did not think the entire planet had been destroyed.
The book of Revelation describes a series of events so profound that the result will be a completely new earth, free from oppression by preachers and politicians.
I wonder if Diderot knew how profound he was when he wrote "Mankind will never truly be free until the last king has been strangled with the entrails of the last priest."
