@maporsche,
Then let me just generalize and say ever American is using democratic socialism and is, therefore, a democratic socialist...including the Republicans.

@LoneJogger,
I get it. You get it.

The 150 million americans who vote will overwhelmingly NOT get it.

Bernie vs Republican = Republican winning 35 states IMO

@LoneJogger,
Of coarse. Republicans never refuse the social benefits provided by the democrats. Can that be considered hypocritical or not?

@cicerone imposter,
I don't think it's hypocritical to have a viewpoint where you can be against Medicare, for example, and vote for politicians who oppose it, but if ultimately Medicare is enacted (and those same people are forced to pay for it via their tax dollars) that they choose to then take advantage of what they're paying for.

That not at all hypocritical.

I'm against lowering taxes right now, but if my tax burden is lessened, I'm not going to send the government any more money then I have to.

@maporsche,
There's another view about universal health care. Most developed countries have them, and at lesser cost. I believe in universal health care like I believe in free education. Both are important for our countries economic and physical health.

@cicerone imposter,
I'll voluntarily refuse government benefits I don't support when I can voluntarily refuse to pay tax hikes I don't support.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Good luck. When you're due for social security, please refuse it. Don't let your children attend public schools or libraries. Don't use the highways and bridges. Don't ever use community hospitals.

You can voluntarily refuse to pay tax hikes. Many do. What the consequences are, I'm sure you know.

Four years of her as president will be much like the last eight years under Obama,

Great! When Obama took first took office, the country had LOST 6 Million Full time jobs the previous year. Now the country has GAINED 2.5 Million Full Time jobs in the past 12 months alone, and 5 Million Full Time jobs in the last 2 years. Absolutely, this is the direction we want to keep going in.
