We have strayed from New York.
But wait, do any real new yorkers go to that to-me-recent but by now five years old extravaganza Italian emporium? I don't remember it's company name.
Tsar?
@ossobuco,
Mama's or Momma's. Anyone?

Huh? Not sure what you're asking about.
@tsarstepan,
I'm asking about the giant italian emporium, name of which I've forgotten. Oh, well.

Quote:CLEMENTE: You failed to describe your qualifications to be mayor of the city.
LEBOWITZ: Here are my qualifications: I am a New Yorker. I like New York. And I like cities. And it's not my desire to make New York more suburban. I would personally just like to vet each person. The way the admissions director of Harvard decides who goes to Harvard, I'd like to decide who comes here. I'd like to be the admissions director of New York. And you know what we have enough of? Bankers. I'm sorry, we're full up. No, no, no. You have an idea for an app? Go to California.
I love New York.
I adore Fran Lebowitz.
This interview is terrific and funny and Fran.
@ossobuco,
Festival of San Gennaro? Street fair. Mountains of Italian food.
@tsarstepan,
YES, how could I forget!!
@Roberta,
I'd probably love that festival.
Adds an aside to ehBeth, I like Fran Lebowitz too.
I love New York - lived there in the 80s, fresh from Germany, when crime was plenty in Manhattan. Ed Koch, the mayor at that time, didn't care much. There was the old Bremen Haus, Cafe Ideal and some other German restaurants I loved. Going to Central Park with the dog (who loved fire hydrants and garbage cans). Just being in NYC you feel the flair of being in the "big apple". It's a special place and depending on one's memory it will remain special - or not!
Compared to San Francisco, I definitely see more charm in New York City!
@CalamityJane,
NYC has much more to offer than SF. No contest. But, everybody loves the Golden Gate Bridge.
@CalamityJane,
I love both of them, what ere their faults.
