Hello All,
I'm looking to get a Tattoo of the Sith Code, translated into Latin.
I took a Semester of latin (failed twice, passed 3rd time) a few years ago and thus far have translated it as such:
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
Pax est mendācium ibi solum est passio.
Per passiōnem adipīscor fortitūdinem.
Per fortitūdinem adipīscor potentiam.
Per potentiam adipīscor victōriam.
Per victōriam compēs mea dīrumpitur.
Animus mē līberātō.
I would love to get any help or insight that I can.

Let's go a line at a time.
Pax est mendācium ibi solum est passio.
Omit
ibi. It means "there" in the sense of place. In this context "there" is
understood.
Passio means "suffering". I'd recommend
ardor.
Per passiōnem adipīscor fortitūdinem.
As above I would use
ardorem. Also, I would place the verb at the end of the sentence.
Per fortitūdinem adipīscor potentiam.
Per potentiam adipīscor victōriam.
Again, verb at the end.
Per victōriam compēs mea dīrumpitur.
I'd use the plural
compedes meae dirumpuntur.

Almost forgot the last line.
I'd recommend
Vis for "Force".
The future third person singular of
libero is
liberabit.
