That doesnt include many countries at all. Certainly not the classic crime countries in south america and africa (other than south africa).
It does include however many Western countries, with a familiar way of living, as well as political, religious and social stability, like the US. It would be foolish to compare the US with a country like Uganda, Iraq or Colombia, where (civil)wars are going on.
Good point. But like i said the US penal system needs improvement.
The charge of murder nowadays can be applied to a much broader range of offenses than the classic definition of one person intentionally killing another.
It can be applied to DUI involving a fatality. It can be applied to a person that was involved in a felony if someone dies during the commission of the felony, even if for instance an accomplice was killed by a policeman.
This is not to make lite of the the above situations, just to point out that when the term murderer is bandied about with the call for all murderers to be executed, we should be sure of what the term means.
Homicide isn't the only crime, the US isn't a high crime country, but we do wisely encourage druggies and gang bangers to kill each other off.
Most gangbangers kill the person theyre gangbanging. Thats not exaclt a good thing.
