Hi everybody..thank you for everythings so far.What is the best below from your view?
1) He started flipping through the pages in the book.
He started flipping through the pages of the book.
2) The pages in the book kept turning .( by the wind )
The pages on the book kept turning .
3) She cancelled our date.
She called off our date.
4) I will do it by my own.
I will do it on my own.

1. -- Either one is acceptable, although the second choice is more likely how an English-speaker would say it.
2. -- Neither one would be used by a native English speaker, in that case, one would say " . . . pages of the book . . . "
3. -- Either one is acceptable.
4. -- The first is definitely wrong, the second is the way a native English speaker wouold express this.
And, from the Pathfinder to the Navigator, you're most welcome.

2)The pages in the book kept turning (although once again I would have used of)
3)Either one really, the first option is more formal, the second is more likely to be used in speaking with a friend.
4)I will do it on my own
