ooo, more trouble, gephart is speaking, more platitudes.

Gephardt's time has come and gone. For whatever reason, he has never connected with voters nationally. Thank goodness Kerry didn't choose Gephardt because if he did, I'm not so sure he could have beat Bush. Contrary to what many people believe, I think many people DO vote for a vice president as much as they do a president.

Sofia, that's SO lame!
Maybe "the cowboy" would go in without donning a chemical suit, but that wouyldn't be very bright, now would it?
He would at least be able to gaze at that dignified, tough guy picture of himself while on his deathbed due to being too worried about photo-ops to don a chemical suit! Whatever...
As Dukakis pointed out, it's a pretty stupid thing to try to make something of, but you go ahead and go for it! Knock yourself out!

I have serious reservations about anyone running for President, who would allow himself to be photographed looking so utterly retarded. Where's the judgement?

I LOL every time I see it. I mean, seriously; is there anyone who doesn't think he looks retarded?

You are absolutely right Sophia.

Where did this come from? It is little more than a warmed over John Birch Society screed from the 50's.

That came from a class on Russian-American politics, a class on government and foreign policies, and two trials involving the Clintons.

well, portal star, seeing as news of clinton's murderous past is a new one on me, you may as well add to his homicidal cache and include all the fetuses he murdered because he supported abortion rights.

Can't support you there, Gala, I'm a strong women's rights supporter. I support their rights over their eggs as well.

But I am against murdering conscious people.

So did Rush Limbaugh. At least, technically brilliant. Problem is, many of Hitler's speeches were also technically brilliant.

Rush's take on Slick's speech:

Could it be that somebody on A2K other than myself has grasped the idea that bombing an innocent slavic orthodox nation into the stone age for the benefit of narco-terrorists and white trash is bad for Russian-American relations? I mean, particularly if the ulterior motive of the whole thing is taking an entirely credible rape allegation (the Broaddrick story) against a pervert democrat president off the front pages of our newspapers?

swolf, he may be slick to you...to me, clinton delivered a speech that neither degraded nor made a call to keep others down, or divide. he did not speak to our weaknesses or our fears, he spoke to our strengths...

Satan could mouth the sermon on the mount; I'd still walk away from it.

The fact you can say things like this and still expect people to take you seriously absolutely astounds me.

suzy and mesquite--

Geez. Go out and try to buy a sense of humor off a Republican or something. I was kidding that 'I had serious reservations' about the picture....! Couldn't you get that? <Tongue in cheek emoticon, desperately needed to communicate with humorless types!!!!!!>

But, mesquite, if you think an adult looks stupid, while spending time with a child--I DO have serious reservations about what you think is valuable. Few endeavors are more important.

Hmmm. Was that last statement tongue in cheek also, or did you simply not see the President's book?

I've actually spoken with a person who was in that yuppie prison down there in Arizona when Jim McDougal died there. I mean, this is first hand, and not from any web site. McDougal had to have medicine to stay alive and they took it from him. The guy I heard this from said that he heard McDougal screaming for his medicine until all hours of the night, and was dead the next morning. This was days away from giving testimony which likely would have collapsed the Slick administration.

You can vote for gangsters and gangster organizations like the DNC if you want, but you should know what you're voting for.
